Acetominophen: Tylenol (acetaminophen) (acetominophen) is usually the easiest with least side effects. Anti inflammatories like Ibuprofen also work. Remember to follow the package instructions, and if it last more than a few days, see your doctor.

Many antipyretics: Tylenol(acetaminophen), motrin(ibuprofen), aleve(naproxen), and Aspirin are considered antipyretics--fever-reducing medications. In the recommended dosage, Acetaminophen is probably considered safest. Fever is cause by many infections, diseases, and even medications. So, if it is too high or lasting too long, consult your doc. Keep good hydration as fever causes additional fluid loss. Good luck.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen: If you are a otherwise healthy adult with no medical problems then 2 extra strength tylenols (acetaminophen) or 600mg of Ibuprofen should do the job. You may need to repeat every 4-6 hours when the fever returns.
