Can your tonsils to grow back?

No: When a complete tonsillectomy is performed, the gland does not grow back. Some techniques are partial tonsillectomies, leaving remnant glandular elements in the tonsillar fossae or inferior poles. These elements can become enalrged with chronic inflammation, but this is not true regrowth.
