Not very likely: Uterine fibroids are benign growths of the muscle wall of the uterus. They have no known cause and no known cure short of removing the uterus (hysterectomy). No medications have been shown to eliminate them. They can regrow after haveing been surgically removed from the uterus. Allopathic and homeopatic remedies have not been shown to have any lasting effects.

Good question: Fibroids grow under estrogen stimulation so dietary changes that minimize estrogen - such as decreased animal fat, high fiber, and decreased alcohol - could help in minimizing fibroids. If your naturopath makes suggestions that do not shrink your fibroids, then see your gynecologist for more traditional techniques, including lupron, (leuprolide) uterine artery embolization, or surgery.

Yes, with caution: Uterine fibroids are a surgical condition when they are big, painful, and cause extreme bleeding. They are also hormonally mediated, and can grow back after surgery. Classical homeopathy does offer helpful treatments in the form of over 100 different remedies that can stimulate the woman's innate healing system. You need an experienced homeopath to select the most effective remedy for you.
