Portion control: The key is to use portions to control how much you eat. Instead of eating out of wrappers, boxes and bags, read the info on package to determine the size of a single portion. Place that on a plate, and when you're done with that serving, stop! also, have protein rich snacks to reduce cravings. One of the problems with snacking on carbs...It's never enough until you're stuffed!
