Alcohol is alcohol: As far as calories go, blood levels, getting drunk, potential damage to organs, risk for breast cancer, a drink is a drink (see my other answer for that). Speed of intake affects how much alcohol is absorbed, and blood levels, whether you nurse a beer, glass of wine, or mixed drink. Trace vits, minerals, toxins, antiox minimal effects on health. All may increase good cholesterol somewhat.
