Need more details: Many things can cause discomfort feeling like it is coming behind the socket. You need exam with more complete history. Some possible causes; dry eyes, trichiasis (in-turned eyelash), recurrent corneal erosion, tumor behind eye, thyroid eye disease, orbital inflammatory psue-dotumor, uveitis. You need exam!
