Yes!: The eye surface drains into the nose and back of the throat, and it is quite common for the drops to be swallowed. If you do not like the taste, you can place the drops in your eyes and hold your finger with pressure where the two eyelids come together at the nose, to prevent drainage into the throat. This is called "punctual occlusion".
