Hard to Know: A red eye may indicate an infection. Usually, eye infections are accompanied with watering/discharge and crusting along the eyelids. Sometimes it is also accompanied with a respiratory infection. Have you been sick recently? You may also be suffering from allergies. It's hard to know what's going on with your eye without taking a look at it. Consider having a doc check it out.
