A member asked:

How long do patients with appendicitis generally stay in the hospital?

Day(s): When performed laparoscopically, many people can go home in 1-2 days; if the appendix was ruptured, the hospital stay is often 3-4 days. When performed via the open technique, this length of stay is almost-doubled.
