A member asked:

How long do effects from atenolol (a beta blocker) last?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About 24 hours: Blood levels peak at 4 hours after a once daily dose and return to baseline by 24hours. The effects of the atenolol can variably linger after the blood levels return to baseline but the total effect is for about 14 hours.
