Is it safe to switch from one beta blocker to another one within a day? i've been on atenolol from last year but having side effects, my doctor switched me to propranolol i will start it tomorrow, is this okay?

It is fine to begin the propanol on the day after the last dose of atenolol. The effect of decreasing blood pressure and heart rate will be the same. Good luck to you!

Hello, Thank you in advance. I am on a very low dose of atenolol, not even 12.5 mg a day. It affects my central nervous system, makes me weak, achy and tingling. Mostly controls HR, but Dr. wants to switch me to Propranolol. Is this better tolerated?
