Hearty doc for kids: A pediatric cardiologist is a physician who specialized in peditrics for 3 years and then specialized in the pediatric heartfor another 3 years. He studies congenital heart disease, echocardiograms, ekg and all disease entities that affect a child or teen's heart. He almost always board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
