It varies: While I am not a family physician, i know that most doctors, in general, work more than 40 hrs per week. In addition, most doctors have to "take call, " for stuff which occurs after hours. I might say that dermotologists may have the best lifestyles among most physicians. I think most family practioners have an office based practice. Hope that helps.
