Opposite effects: Narcotics act on mu and theta receptors which ause. CNS depression, respiratory depression, sedation, hypnosis, obstructive breathing, euphoria, feeling of well being, nausea, constipation, vasodilation, decreases blood pressure and pulse rate, small pupils, can elevate icp, relieve mild, moderate, or severe pain. Stimulants elevate BP and pulse rate., cause tachyarrythmias, excitability, anxiet.
