Hashish: Previously, all psychoactive substances were called "narcotics." this term now refers to opiates (relatives of opium) -- which hashish is not. It's a cannabis product made from unfertilized buds as well as trichomes, and is a resin from the cannabis plant. Like marijuana, it contains thc -- mostly hallucinogenic but effects like increased heart rate too. It's illegal & can induce psychosis.
