Very soon. : Pulmonary embolism occurs on a wide spectrum. If your daily exercise tolerance is reasonably good and you do not require supplementary oxygen, you should be able to fly.

When therapeutic: When your INR is therapeutic for a few weeks and when you are physically up to it. If you need oxygen still you will need a letter from your physician to the airline.
