A member asked:

What does an angiogram show if doctor thinks my blood pressure is from kidney problems?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Arterial Stenosis : The angiogram can show many different causes of hypertension due to kidney problems, known as renovascular hypertension. The underlying issue would be a narrowing or stricture in the renal artery due to atherosclerosis or cholesterol deposits in the artery or from fibrous deposits in the artery. The stenosis sets off a cascade of substances released by the body which can cause hypertension.
