Having abdominal pain off and on; how do you know you don't have an aneurysm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get evaluated: AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) can present with a surprising variety of symptoms, but often is symptom free. The intermittency of your distress with predictable resolution of discomfort after flares is good news. Alarm signs & symptoms include: weight loss or gain (ascites), intestinal angina, claudication, dropping renal function. Time to see a doctor for reassurance--get at least an ultrasound.
