Why isn't my daughter's pink eye going away if already on antibiotics drops?

Several possiblities: It might be that she is on the wrong antibiotic. Or, it might be that the infection is caused by a virus, so antibiotics won't work. Or, it could also be caused by an allergy; antibiotics don't work for that either. Bacterial usually involves pain and colored discharge. Viral usually involves pain without discharge or with clear discharge. Allergic itches.
