Be seen: He needs to be seen and assessed. At his age, generally people have multiple medical problems that could potentially complicate any surgery.

Age is not: A problem risk would be determined by other comorbid conditions (does he have any other medical problems?)- what does pcp ; urologist say? They are best to answer your question.
