Baby constipation: Difficulty with bowel movements may not be defined as constipation if the stool is soft when she is successful. If she has never had a stool independently her pediatrician should be made aware. Part of the answer may lie in if she is exclusively breast fed, or if she is formula fed. Some babies need a little assistance in the form of legs to tummy or gentle rectal stimulation instead.

CONSTIPATION: 2 months old with constipation.Do you give water with karo syrup in between feedings? Have you tried adding more water to milk example : 2 oz. Milk plus 3 oz. Water instead of equal parts of milk and water. Lastly, try giving diluted juice inbetween feedings.

Define constipation: If her bms are hard, dry, firm, she is constipated. You can try apple juice or karo syrup and it will help. If, on the other hand, you mean she is constipated because she is not going every day (or any other schedule) but when she does, it is soft and easily passed, then she is normal. Some infants will not move except every 2-4 days, and that is still normal.
