Generally safe: To affect your pregnancy/fetus a medication must enter your blood & travel to the fetus through the placenta. With rare exceptions, what you put on your skin does not. So topical agents are generally safe. Anything you ingest (food or pill) or drink (water, milk, coffee, alcohol)may enter the blood & be a problem.Review meds and any exotic foods with your OB to be sure none are worrisome.

Ringworm/pregnancy: Lamisil (terbinafine) at which is over the counter is a pregnancy category b medication. This means that animal studies show no risk or adverse fetal effects but controlled 1st trimester studies not available/do not confirm; no evidence of 2nd or 3rd trimester risk; fetal harm possible but unlikely.
