A member asked:

How far into treatment is ringworm no longer contagious? ive been treating mine for 3 weeks (otc cream and prescribed fluconazole)- am i still contagious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ringworm can be spread by direct contact with the surface of the involved skin. Covering the location diminishes potential for transfer to others. Within days, use of an effective antifungal reduces potential to transfer. By three weeks if it is/was fungal any residual skin changes are likely due to the distortion of skin tone by the germ win no remaining active fungus.
