A member asked:

Can a groin pull show symptoms a week after the injury that caused it? is a hernia much more painful than a groin pull? heat or ice? light stretching?

Groin hernia pain: Hernias usually do not hurt bad unless they incarcerate or strangulate. They usually cause pressure symptoms or discomfort or no symptoms at all. Your pain is most likely from a ligament injury or groin muscles tear/ stretch, and this symptoms may persist for a few weeks. A hip problem can also cause groin pain that does not go away.. Physical rest is the best therapy for now.
