Eat non-food things: This is a specific disorder requiring the consumption of non-nutritive substances for at least a month, it is not developmentally expected or appropriate for that person, it is not socially sanctioned in their culture. It may occur in someone with another mental health disorder. It can be triggered by iron deficiency and by other causes. It should be evaluated and treated by a medical professional.
