Pica: Pica is a complicated disorder that can be due to multiple factors. Iron deficiency anemia has been found to be a triggering cause especially in young children and treatment of anemia can be helpful in treating Pica, but it is usually most successful when accompanied by behavioral modification therapy assisted by a psychiatrist.
