Fovea is Central : The macula is the central part of the retina that gives us our ability to read and see detail. The very center region of the macula is called the fovea. It is responsible for our most acute vision. If it is injured or damaged we usually cannot read letters and images become distorted or "blocked." the fovea is the central retina, so yes it is connected.

Fovea is bullseye: The fovea is a part of the retina where what we see is centrally focused to a crisp image. It is the bullseye of the film in the camera of the eye
