A member asked:

What number of cones are present in the fovea of human eye ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About 5 million: I'm impressed that you know about retinal cones. The average number is about 5 million but up 6 million have been reported. As you probably know cones are for day vision and rods for night vision. The cones are clustered in the fovea so at night you see better looking a little off center.
