It's very possible: Indoor tanning is mostly uva, but intense and up close. If you are getting any exposure to the eyes while doing this, then you are increasing your risk for cataracts...And equally important - increasing your risk for skin cancer. Stop tanning.

No, while UV exposure can increase growth of cataracts, it is much more likely to cause other eye problems such as macular degeneration and pterygia, not to mention skin cancer. From a medical perspective indoor tanning is never recommended and spray tan would be preferable.
