Consult your doctor: There are risks and benefits to taking medication when you're pregnant. There are also risks to untreated thyroid disease. Your doctor may want to consult an endocrinologist for help deciding whether to switch medications and how often to test your thyroid during your pregnancy. This is something you need to be comfortable discussing with your obstetrician.
