See below: This is an uncommon. It may happen in patients with asthma or copd. May happen with inhalation of cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, marijuana, hydrocarbons. May happen w/ rapid ascent in scuba divers, valsalva maneuvers, vomiting, infections, blast injuries and iatrogenic injuries from endoscopy or surgery. Symptoms are usually pleuritic chest pain with dyspnea but can be life threatening.
