See details: Side effects of Methotrexate including GI disturbances, hair loss, reduced blood counts, allergic count and pneumonitis, infection and a possible increased risk of lymphoma. That said, these occur infrequently in doses used to treat rheumatologic problems. In the vast majority of cases, the benefits of Methotrexate far outweigh the risks.
