Hemoglobin AIC: Physicians trust a fasting specimen for most of the blood testing related to cholesterol, diabetes, and other metabolic issues. The hemoglobin aic is a test of the glycemic or sugar control for the last three months, it will be minimally effected by fasting. But if you need the other tests done fasting, get it all done at the same time.
