Partials work: In the proper circumstances, a partial knee replacement (unicondylar replacement) works very well.

Very common: I have performed over 500 robotic arm assisted partial knee replacements and my favorite patient is one that has had a total knee on the other side. This is because i can guarantee them that the partial will be a much faster recovery, much less painful, they will get better range of motion, take less pain medicine and the knee will feel much more like their natural knee than their total knee.
