What is normal recovery after having a partial knee replacement?

Hopefully quick: Partial knee replacements tend to progress at a much faster rate than a total. Often times, within one-two weeks, you should be getting around quite well without much pain.

Faster than totals: I agree that most patients are getting around pretty well after about 2 weeks. Low impact activity is good for the first 4-6 weeks like walking, bicycling, golf, treadmill, elliptical machines. At 6-8 weeks higher level activity such as tennis can begin with less potential problems. Icing, elevation & compression stockings reduce the early swelling which improves wound healing and bending.
