A member asked:

Risks during the ablation and pacemaker implantation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Risks of ablation: Mostly the risks are the same as for other procedures, including infection and bleeding, but also rhythm disturbances of the heart and the development of fluid around the heart. In addition, the risks for pacemakers include pneumothorax or the presence of air around the lung. These are usually safe procedures which are performed by trained cardiologists.
