Every other: This means only every other beat that originates in the pacemaker of your heart, gets through to the pumping chamber to create a heart beat. If this is type I, and your QRS (EKG complexes are narrow) this is likely benign. If it is call Mobitz type II, it may indicate more serious conduction system damage. 2:1 AV block: 2:1 AV block may convert into a complete heart block and does require a pacemaker. You should see an Electrophysiologist asap to figure out if it's Type 1 or Type 2. Type 2 requires a permanent pacemaker.
