A member asked:

What is the indication of a neck biopsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lymph node: The most common reason for a neck biopsy is an enlarged lymph node (lymphatic gland). There are several reasons why a head and neck surgeon would perform this fairly simple procedure. The indications would vary from a tumor of the head and neck region or very possibly a lymphoma. Ask you surgeon.
