A member asked:

What is the mortality rate of having a neck biopsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nearly zero: Biopsies are harmless, with only very rare exceptions. If you biopsy a tumor that is producing vessels (angiosarcoma, paraganglioma, hemangioma), there is a risk of bleeding -- but generally, the risk of dying from a biopsy is as close to zero as you get.
