Rhythm control: Sotalol is an antiarrhythmic medication to treat certain types of heart rhythm disorders. Paradoxically it can cause potentially lethal cardiac rhythms if not used properly. All antiarrhythmics share this property. It is important to follow regularly with a cardiologist experienced in the use of sotalol.
