Wean off: If you took a bunch of caffeine and now want to sleep? No, you're going to have to wait it out. But if you want to lose the dependence on caffeine and get your body to adjust without it, you can either cut cold turkey, or slowly decrease your intake over 2-4 weeks. Cutting caffeine immediately can cause headache and irritability. Slowly is usually well tolerated.
