A member asked:

Got steroid injection in back today, asked if preg, no, but didn't ask if nursing, i am, is nursing still safe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The amount of steroid used in those types of injections is small so the risk to your baby is quite minimal to none. If you wanted to be even safer you could pump for about 8 hours after an injection, discard that milk and then return to breastfeeding. I hope your injection will help your back.
