Is enablex (darifenacin) safe to take if pregnant or nursing?

Do not use.: This medication may be harmful to an unborn baby. It is not known whether this medication passes onto breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. So as a safe precaution i wouldn't recommend it while breast feeding or pregnant.

Do not risk. : Enablex (darifenacin) is listed as fda pregnancy category class c, where animal studies have shown adverse fetal effects but no controlled studies in humans have demonstrated this. In lactation, there is no adequate literature & the fda advises caution. Speak to a urologist as other medications may have a greater safety profile in pregnancy & lactation. For instance, Ditropan (oxybutynin) is class b, or safer.

Nope cat C: The data for lactation is less clear, but probably best to stay away.
