Can i avoid getting gerd from spicy foods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Moderation and...: Are you referring to exacerbation of gerd (acid reflux) with spicy food? If so, try acid reducer medicines (h2 blockers and proton pump inhibitors) and moderate your intake of spicy, greasy foods, mints, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, fizzy drinks. If spicy foods are worsening irritable bowel syndrome symptoms, consider available probiotics, fiber supplements, ask our doctor about antispasm drugs.
