Depends: Further evaluation may be necessary depending on the size of the cyst, and whether or not there are solid as well as fluid components, and whether or not it is causing symptoms. This might include a pelvic ultrasound and tumor markers such as ca125 or he4. If all the signs point to a benign cyst, it can be followed with ultrasound. If there are any concerns, removing the cyst may be prudent.
