Depends: The most common drug that we use for Insulin resistance is metformin. For various reasons that is often held during hospitalizations. If one is on acots prior to going into the hospital that might be continued depending on the clinical scenario. Other aspects of the Insulin resistance syndrome like elevated blood pressure or lipid problems will be addressed as separate problems.
