Brain mri without contrast - what kinds of things might be missed without contrast?

Tumors and anuerysms: A tumor may not be seen unless contrast is administered. Also, any abnormality of the arteries or veins of the brain may not be visible without contrast.. Contrast improves specificity and sensitivity of the MRI and should be used when possible.
