Location??: Blood in a diaper is not a common finding. In front, it can be a sign of genital irritation from a retained foreign body or other issue.In the rear it can be a sign of a stool overstretching the anus & causing a fissure. This may be a time when a good exam & discussion can clear up the issue & provide you with ways to avoid a recurrence.

Many causes: If the bleeding is more brisk and increases, please see the Emergency department. The bleeding source for scant blood may be determined by scheduling an appointment with your physician. Keep the area clean and dry and avoid excessive local skin irritation.
