A member asked:

What kind of adverse affects from inhaling charcoal ash?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Inhalation injury: Charcoal ash is made from wood not from coal so it is not as dangerous but to be honest inhaling any foreign substance like that is dangerous to be inhaled and contributes to air pollution. I have not heard anything about getting any long term lung diseases directly from a cooking over a bbq but i would be aware that some hooka lounges add charcoal to their mixtures. Either way, don't inhale it.
