No, but . . .: Long ago, even the cancer doctors smoked. It's just an addiction, so won't improve focus, memory, or anything else. But, once a person is addicted, his cravings will bother him constantly, until he gets his next smoke. That is why the addicted smokers need to smoke to bring their focus back up to normal (they've messed themselves up by getting addicted). One avoids that problem by never smoking.
